TESTIMONIALS

What our customers say

I was initially very good at making excuses why everything needed to stay. Emily helpfully set a small goal to start the process and suggested we only made decisions based on expiry dates. Before I knew it we had a whole bin bag of rubbish and a very clean, organised cupboard. I now feel invigorated to tackle the next area of my kitchen. I would highly recommend Emily to anyone.

I have recently moved into my new family home and our stuff has just taken over. with two young children, who do multiple activities and have an abundance of stuff, I really needed some help getting things in some kind of order. We started with the Kitchen as it had become the dumping ground. It was worrying to start with, creating more mess, but the end result was life changing. Thank you to "The Calm Curator" for making mornings run smoothly again.

Running my own business means I have very little spare time and the time I do get I like to spend with friends and family. On the surface my home is clean and tidy but open the cupboard doors and it’s a whole different story.  My kitchen was driving me crazy – I could never find anything, mealtimes became a nightmare and I resorted to ready-made meals rather than cooking healthy meals from scratch. Not only was I stressed out because of the lack of organisation but my health was starting to suffer through not eating properly. Emily came in and really got to know me and my lifestyle and how I needed my kitchen to function. It took a while to get the systems and processes in place but wow what a difference this has made. I now look forward to preparing meals and opening kitchen doors is no longer fills me with dread. I actually save time and feel much more at peace. Couldn’t recommend The Calm Curator and Emily enough

Emily is a wonder. My kitchen has forever been my nemesis in my flat but i'm starting to see space and order. We've only just begun the journey but after only a couple of hours, I have less stuff/clutter and can find things. I have a batching area! I haven't batch cooked in a while as i couldn't find all my equipment but have just shopped and will be batching tonight! Thank you Emily and I can't wait for our next session.

I moved into my new place about a year ago and had kept hold of so many things that held sentimental value. I sought out Emily to help me get clear and focused on my ideal space and to have a helping hand guide me in the reasons i was keeping things that no longer served me.  Working with Emily was totally empowering. She leaned in with zero judgement and rolled her sleeves up to do the process with me. I was left with a clear space and much less foggy brain. But more so i felt lighter that i had let some emotional baggage go too. I would thoroughly recommend Emily and her approach if you want to reclaim your space and life.

Emily spent 3 hours with me and has given me the push start I needed in making my home more organised and functional for me and my children. Emily created a “drop zone” for stuff that gets brought into or dumped in the kitchen thoughout the day! The idea being that each day we review what’s in that box and take it back to its rightful home! She created a space for the kids to put their school bags and shoes - making them accountable for putting away their own things.

My daughter used to throw her bag on the floor when she came in - she loves having a place she knows it needs to go now and putting her shoes in the allocated drawer. These sound like such simple things but when you’re a busy working full time mum of 2 these simple things don’t get prioritised.

Emily also insisted all the clothes that I’ve advertised on vinted are not kept in my main wardrobes. That I should treat the vinted stuff as a business and keep the advertised clothes in storage boxes in the conservatory. This has really given me a push to stay on top of my advertised items and regularly reduce prices / make offers to people who have favourited items. I’ve made almost £50 in the last month which is a bonus!

I’ve found myself spending twenty minutes sorting out and organising a drawer of stuff or cupboard rather than wasting time on social media. Emily is a warm and wonderful person and I really enjoyed my time spent with her and learning useful tips that will set me in good stead for my future home organising sessions!

Emily recently came and helped sort out our kitchen. At our initial session, Emily talked through many different options that we could try (I myself am disabled and needed some specific requirements)and after putting some in place, my wife and I were inspired to have a go ourselves before our second session. This meant that on Emily's last visit, we were able to tackle the monstrous problem of our fridge which we didn't think we'd have time or money to pay for. Emily is really encouraging and whilst we could just leave her to sort our kitchen herself, it would have cost us a lot more and Emily was happy to chat through things and give us homework so that we could keep the costs lower. I always thought having an organised kitchen was for wealthy people, but Emily has shown that us ordinary folk can afford and have it too.
